"Crash busy eating tofu, not so fast coming"- Evil Gui

Reading the news lately, you will notice something quite interesting. A local company, lets just call it " Imaginative" (to protect its identity) , decides to sue its America based long time rival, let just call it "Orange"(also to protect its idenitity) over a certain recipe (Not really the real subject to protect the companies idenities) it had long long ago. Imaginative claimed that Orange copied that particular recipe and they want Orange to stop selling its tofu ( not the real product also to protect the companies idenities), which is honestly leeching the life out of Imaginative.

Common sense would tell you, if Imaginative had such a good recipe so long ago ? Why didn't they voice it out that long ago ? Why does it have to wait until its shares is at an all time low, if I recall correctly, droping at least $0.10 per day( That would have be around $25 per year) before revealing such an old recipe. Maybe they are desperate for solutions to halt their decline ? Anyway, even if Orange really stop selling their tofu, it does not mean consumers will go buy Imaginative's. Such a move is really only a tempoary solution. And it looks bad on Imaginative, giving consumer the impression - If you can't out sell them, sue them.

I believe the lawsuits will be long, taking maybe years . Most likely Orange in the end will pay Imaginative a few million dollars as settlement. But by then , I am sure Orange had made enough tofu to pay for it. I would rather Imaginative to go do more research to come out with better tofu, instead of wasting their resources on the lawsuits. I am sure by the end of the lawsuit, Orange might already come out with Tofu that you and I never thought possible, thus out selling Imaginative as usual.

To sum up, if Imaginative's tofu were better, they won't really be in this situation at all. Its Orange thats constantly comming out with fresh ways to make tofu good that allow them to dominate the market. A classic case of David challenging Goliath, loses then decides to sue.
