"In our line of work, we are used to dealing with rude passengers who scold us. But never in my 25 years of driving buses did I expect I would be punched by a young boy for trying to do my job." - A 53 year old bus driver who gets the beating of his life while doing his job.
"Sorry uncle, it was an accident" - The 17 year old student from a top JC in Singapore , Hwa Chong Institution, who gave the above mention bus driver the beating of his life.

Reading this news saddens me. When did our society moral value drop to such standards. In my time, only uneducated hooligans do such stuff in public.. Wait, I retract my previous statement, even uneducated hooligans would show some respect to the elderly. The bus driver should feel lucky I guess. If a student from top JC would do this to him, imagine if he encountered one from non top JCs , he might have been punch to death or something like that, no offence to the other JCs.
I was even more disturbed by the news when I read about the student's explaination/ apology today. He claim that it was an accidient. Had he only punched the driver once, I might have believed that... But, from the news report and witnesses account, he punched the driver to the ground, and continued unleash his manly strength, infront of his girlfriend, over the feeble driver until he was stopped by another passanger on the bus. I wonder what happened ? Maybe his body lost locamotive controls after the 1st punch and he can't stop his hands from punching the driver...Maybe he was possessed by some vengeful and violent spirit in the bus... or most likely, in my humble opinion, he was thinking with his male sexual organ when he was writing his letter of apology to the Newspaper.
I can't think of any reason why he would do such a thing. Even his father had kneel down and apologized to the driver, why can't the student who unleashed himself on the driver do the same ? Is it because he is from a top JC, thus branding him an elite or potiental elite who could do no wrong ? It would be inferior for him to do so ? or maybe he is expecting the bus driver's family to kneel to him for making a big hooha over a small show of his manliness in front of his girl.
Of coz, we should not let one such black, rotten and maybe alittle bit mentally challenged sheep tarnish the image of our top schools.
